Salutations everyone! I have been so kindly tagged by Lauren at Lala’s Book Reviews for this tag! I know nothing about this band, but I’m so thankful she thought of me and tagged me! So thank you so much Lauren! She is the original creator of this tag and she has some amazing content out there that you should check out! If you haven’t followed this kind soul then you should change that! Lauren is so kind, so sweet, and she was one of the very first book bloggers that I followed when I created my own blog. So give her some love and participate in this tag if you love her as much as I do!

🎼 Who is 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS)? 🎼
5SOS is a four piece band that started back in 2011 in Australia; the band consists of Luke (lead singer and guitarist), Michael (singer and guitarist), Calum (singer and bass player), and Ashton (singer and drummer). The guys started posting covers on youtube, discovered by Louis from 1D, and later moved to the UK to pursue their music career. They toured with 1D for a couple of years and since have making music of their own. They push the boundaries of what is means to be a band and are bringing back sounds that haven’t been seen in a while.
🎼 The Rules! 🎼
🎼 Mention the creator (Lala’s Book Reviews) and link this post
🎼 Tag some people at the end
🎼 Thank the person who tagged you
🎼 Most importantly: Have fun and listen to 5SOS
🎼 Unpredictable: A book that makes you want to throw caution to the wind and do something crazy 🎼
While this isn’t a fantasy or a contemporary read, Follow Me To: A Journey Around the World Through the Eyes of Two Ordinary Travelers always sparks a deep flame in my soul for travel. And if the stunning photos don’t make you want to check this book out, I believe both the author and the model are married now in real life!
🎼 Gotta Get Out: A couple that faced a lot of hardship together but come out stronger on the other side 🎼
While they’re not actually a couple, they do have an interesting partnership and I swear, I can’t make any post without talking about The Girl on the Other Side: Siuli A Run by NAGABE is worth every ounce of hype that I pour into this manga. I don’t hear anyone talking about this manga and I’m over in the void shouting at the top of my lungs that everyone needs to go check this manga out. It’s so underrated and the story-line is fantastic. This series is like an onion, the more you read this series the more you get these layers of what’s really happening. Volume 8 the English version comes out this year in March and I couldn’t be more excited for it!
🎼 Kiss Me Kiss Me: Who’s a character that leaves you wanting more? 🎼
So… there’s this character and his name is Thomas Cresswell. He’s talk, dark, sarcastic, and broody… I will always want more of Cresswell.
🎼 Never Be: A couple that lived in the moment and didn’t let life stop them. 🎼
This is a great question and I have no answer!
🎼 18: What’s a book that labeled as YA but is more NA? 🎼
Well… The first thing that comes to my mind is the ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas. I mean, damn, there were some scenes in there that had me clutching my pearls especially with ACOFAS.

🎼 Ghost of You: What quote makes you emotional every time you read it? 🎼
Oh jeez… I’m getting all soft just thinking about it!
“I don’t know when we’ll see each other again or what the world will be like when we do. We may both have seen many horrible things. But I will think of you every time I need to be reminded that there is beauty and goodness in the world.”
🎼 Want You Back: A series that you go back to time after time 🎼
Of course, I have to mention a Nora Roberts series! This is probably one of my favorite series by her and I constantly recommend it to those who want to get into her work. The Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy is fantastic; it follows three brothers and three best friends! Each book follows a different brother and a different best friend that brother is romantically interested in. There’s also some paranormal goodness mixed in as well. I love it so much!

🎼 Woke Up in Japan: What book left you with a nasty book hangover? 🎼
Oh my goodness, There Will Come A Darkness (The Age of Darkness #1) by Katy Rose Pool! My number one favorite read of 2019!

🎼 Babylon: Which couple caught fire quickly and burned out just as fast? 🎼
I’m still on board, but I know Nesta and Cassian was a pairing that a lot of readers were all for until a lot of things happened in book two and three of the ACOTAR series.
🎼 Broken Home: Who has a deep backstory that tore you apart? 🎼
Vivienne Marshall from The Extraordinary Journey of Vivienne Marshall by Shannon Kirk. This book destroyed me in so many ways and it’s a book that truly deserves more recognition and voice. This is an emotional read, but it’s nearly impossible to put this book down. Content/Trigger Warnings for graphic injuries, hospitalization, grief, toxic relationships
🎼 Daylight: What supernatural thing can you read about and never get sick of? 🎼
Hmm…probably werewolves or demons. Oh yeah, I love a good demon or werewolf element in a book. I blame Twilight for the werewolves, but I just really love a good demon character. I feel like demons are really underrated in fantasy and romance. But that’s just me!
🎼 Jet Black Heart: A morally gray character that hopes the other person can accept them for who they are 🎼
Once again, I will scream this at the top of my lungs, but literally all the characters in There Will Come A Darkness by Katy Rose Pool!
🎼 She Looks So Perfect: Whose an author that you recently discover only to find out that they aren’t a debut author and has released other books? 🎼
Emily Lloyd-Jones the author of The Bone Houses! The Bone Houses was another top pick for 2019 and I never knew Emily had another book out. I currently have her book The Hearts We Sold on it’s way to me and I’m incredibly excited for it. I really loved her writing and I can’t wait to see what this book is about!
🎼 Teeth: What upcoming release are you most excited for? 🎼
I have so many upcoming releases that I’m looking forward to! I even made an Anticipated 2020 Releases shelf that has a lot of the books I’m looking forward to! If I had to pick one title out of all of them that I think deserves more eyes on it, It would have to be Tigers, Not Daughters by Samantha Mabry. I’ve been recommending this one to so many people lately and I honestly wish more readers had this book on their radar. It just sounds like a great read and I’m always here for books with different family dynamics and sibling relationships.

“The Torres sisters dream of escape. Escape from their needy and despotic widowed father, and from their San Antonio neighborhood, full of old San Antonio families and all the traditions and expectations that go along with them. In the summer after her senior year of high school, Ana, the oldest sister, falls to her death from her bedroom window. A year later, her three younger sisters, Jessica, Iridian, and Rosa, are still consumed by grief and haunted by their sister’s memory. Their dream of leaving Southtown now seems out of reach. But then strange things start happening around the house: mysterious laughter, mysterious shadows, mysterious writing on the walls. The sisters begin to wonder if Ana really is haunting them, trying to send them a message—and what exactly she’s trying to say.”
In a stunning follow-up to her National Book Award–longlisted novel All the Wind in the World, Samantha Mabry weaves an aching, magical novel that is one part family drama, one part ghost story, and one part love story.

Of course! ❤️ I had a wonderful time doing this! I have a few book tag ideas brewing in my brain myself and I would want other to participate too. Plus, this encouraged me to go listen to their music and for once my spouse didn’t complain about the music I was listening to lol
