Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018!
Salutations Chapterlings! I’m back with another Top Tuesday and I’m so very excited because we’re finally in December! Now I know this is the second week of December, but I’m super excited and ready for all the wintery vibes! So for this Toop Ten Tuesday, I was originally was going to do my favorite holiday movies to watch in December, but I decided to go with atmospheric books for the winter season. Winter and fall are my two favorite seasons so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to write about the books I enjoy curling up with during this time of year. So sit back, relax, curl up with some hot chocolate and let’s get into the books!
❄️The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (The Chronicles of Narnia, #1) by C.S. Lewis

I mean, the majority of the first book in this series is all winter. You can literally feel the chill in the air!
❄️The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials #1) by Philip Pullman

Constant wintery scenery! Plus, a main character who’s not only amazing, but also becomes friends with a polar bear!
❄️Check, Please! Book 1 #Hockey (Check, Please 1-2) by Ngozi Ukazu

The only sport you will here me talk about this time of year and the graphic novel I will rave about religiously this time of year.
❄️Gabriel’s Angel by Nora Roberts

Chilling, but incredibly sweet!
❄️My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories edited by Stephanie Perkins

Full of holiday romance and wintery vibes! Perfect with a cup of hot coco!
❄️The Wolf Wilder by Katherine Rundell

Set in the harsh cold and unpredictable Russian wilderness where the wolves lurk!
❄️Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (Harry Potter #1) by J.K. Rowling

Of course Harry Potter was making it onto this list! It wouldn’t be December without it!
❄️The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen, adapted by Naomi Lewis

One of my favorite classic wintery tales that I never get tired of reading.
❄️A Court of Frost and Starlight (A Court of Thorns and Roses #3.1) by Sarah J. Maas

Yes…I know, I know, but I truly love this series and this book will make you want to pick it up for this December! I get so many chills thinking of all the feelings this books gives!
❄️Lord of the Rings (Middle-earth Universe) by J.R.R. Tolkein

Something about groups of people gathering around fires ready to take on evil makes me want curl up by the fire reading.

Okay, friends! That wraps up this Top Ten Tuesday of wintery reads. I’m sure there are plenty more out there, but these are the ones I personally enjoy the most. I hope you all enjoyed this as much as I did writing this! And please feel free to tell me in the comments below some of your favorite winter reads! Until next time, may December be filled with five stars reads, I love you! ❤️
