Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018!
It may not be quite apparent, but I’m a huge searcher of quotes.Quotes have been something that have pushed me through the hard days, made me laugh on sunny days, and help me ponder beyond my own thoughts. Lyrical prose is probably my favorite and most important element of reading! And since there’s an actual topic to share my top ten quotes, I wanted all of you to see some of the quotes that have touched my soul in it’s deepest roots! And of course, I hope you enjoy this as much as I did sharing them! (P.S. – Yes, I’m a sentimental, sappy mess of a hopeless romantic and proud of it!)
🌻 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling

“You think the dead we loved truly ever leave us? You think that we don’t recall them more clearly in times of great trouble?”
🌻 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling

“You care so much that you feel as though you will bleed to death with the pain of it.”
🌻 A Testament of Hope: The Essential Writings and Speeches by Martin Luther King, JR.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
🌻 The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holy Black

“We love until we do not. For us, love doesn’t fade gradually. It snaps like a branch bent too far.”

“Do you know how many ways love can hit you? So it makes you happy, or miserable? It makes you sick in the belly or hurt in the heart. It makes everything brighter and sharper, or it blurs all the edges. It makes you feel like a king or a fool. Every way love can hit you, it’s hit me when it comes to you”
🌻 Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden

“I don’t know when we’ll see each other again or what the world will be like when we do. We may both have seen many horrible things. But I will think of you every time I need to be reminded that there is beauty and goodness in the world.”
🌻 The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

“So, I guess we are who we are for a lot of reasons. And maybe we’ll never know most of them. But even if we don’t have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them.”
🌻 The Life of Pi by Yann Martel

“Life is so beautiful that death has fallen in love with it, a jealous, possessive love that grabs at what it can. But life leaps over oblivion lightly, losing only a thing or two of no importance, and gloom is but the passing shadow of a cloud…”
🌻 A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

“I am broken and healing, but every piece of my heart belong to you.”
🌻 Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

“Roses have both petals and thorns, my dark flower. You needn’t believe something weak because it appears delicate. Show the world your bravery.”

Oh god, I’m getting emotional already! Let me stop before I fall too far down this rabbit hole! And if you’ve ever had to sift through some of your favorite quotes, to just choose only ten, it’s incredibly hard to narrow them down. But please, tell me some of your favorite quotes in the comments below! I hope you all enjoyed these quotes and maybe some of these touched you the way they touched me. Until next time, Chapterlings; I hope your month is filled with remarkable reads, I love you! ❤️
