Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday | Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2019

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018!

Hello Chapterlings! This is my first every Top Ten Tuesday! I’ve been seeing this float around in the book blogging community a lot recently and I figured why not give it a shot! I don’t know how often I’ll post these, but if you all like what I have to say then I might make them a frequent thing on my blog. Also, I figured the best way for all of you to get to know me and my taste in reading is to see some of my HIGHLY anticipated books. Granted, I have so many dang books I want that will be coming out during this final half, but these are at least the ones that I have already pre-ordered in advance. For the record, none of these are in any particular order except for the number one spot. That has yet to change after all this time since it’s release was announced (and if you’ve been hanging around me a while, you probably already know!). So let me reveal to you my heart’s desire!

🌻 10.) The Storm Crow by Kalyn Josephson

Sibling relationships, secret plots and plans, and freaking magical, elemental crows! Magical birds people, magical birds that are elemental! What more could you possibly want in a fantasy book?!

🌻 9.) Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling, Illustrated by Jay Kim

Look…LOOK…I know, but it’s Harry Potter… and dragons… I will throw money at any book that has dragons, no matter how brief the interaction is.

🌻 8.) Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker & Wendy Xu

Always here for anything LGBTQIAP+ rep, magic, witches, bookshops, and I will always throw my money to graphic novels.

🌻 7.) to drink coffee with a ghost by Amanda Lovelace

Because I love Amanda Lovelace’s work and because I love a poetry collection that will shatter me in the best possible way.

🌻 6.) A Constellation of Roses by Miranda Asebedo

I love books that have different family dynamics and magic! Make me feel things!

🌻 5.) Thrawn: Treason (Star Wars) by Timothy Zahn

The final conclusion to this trilogy! My spouse and I are very excited for this and are already planning a full buddy read of all three books! The hype is real!

🌻 4.) Stormrise by Jillian Boehme

Dragons. Literally dragons (of course magic too). TAKE MY MONEY!

🌻 3.) Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

So yeah…I’m on that bandwagon. To be fair though, the synopsis speaks to me on so many levels and it gives me goosebumps every time I read it. Sorry not sorry!

🌻 2.) The Girl from the Other Side: Siuil A Run Vol. 7 by NEGABE

Because no other series has made me this addicted to a story-line in a long, long time!

🌻 1.) Capturing the Devil by Kerri Maniscalco

Because Kerri Maniscalco is an angel, because this quartet is EVERYTHING, and this wouldn’t be a Malliumpkin list without it!

Okay, Chapterlings! This was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to compile! It was so hard to just choose ten when I have a top twenty list of new releases coming out this second half! I hope you all enjoyed this list and I hope this was an enjoyable Top Ten Tuesday for you! Let me know in the comments some of the upcoming releases you’re looking forward to! And of course, I hope your month is filled with lots of reading, I love you! ❤️

    1. Me too! I’m not ready for it to be over, but the Thomas Cresswell novella has me screaming! I’m also hoping for a wedding. I swear, if they don’t get married by the end of CTD, I might just riot! We can hold on a little longer to our favorite duo with the novella though (if anyone hasn’t read it yet)!
