May 2019 Wrap Up + A Readathon

Hello Chapterlings! Welcome back to my blog for another monthly wrap-up! I can’t believe summer is practically kicking down our doors! I feel like May has gone by so quickly without even giving us a moment to breathe. However, May has been a whirlwind for me. If you’ve been following me on Instagram then you probably know I went a little buck wild this month. Honestly, I kind of love it, but at the same time I also feel like I’m behind in updating. So this is me making up for it with a monthly wrap up and a readathon on top of it! This month I read ten books (back to my original numbers) and most of these books were for the Asian Readathon! So without further adieu, let’s get into this wrap up!

Before I get into this wrap up, I just want to say how thankful I am to have participated in the buddy read for the Dragons & Tea Book Club with Melanie and Amy. This was such a wonderful experience and I’m so thankful to be one of many who read this book for this book club during the month of May! It would mean so much if you looked at both of these ladies! They’re both sweet and really insightful readers who put out really marvelous content! ❤️

Asian Readathon

If you aren’t familiar with the Asian Readathon, this readathon was created by Cindy at readwithcindy. May is the Asian-Pacific Heritage month so there’s no better time to branch out and read some books you may not have considered reading or have thought about reading, but haven’t had the chance to read yet. Cindy was an absolute rockstar putting together this amazing readathon for all of us in the book community to come together and read more books that involve Asian-Pacific voices. Cindy brought together such an incredible group of hosts to join in on the readathon too. Not to mention, they recently had the liveshow! As for my reading, I’m not quite sure how many books I actually read that met the challenges, I wasn’t able to finish Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa before the readathon ended, and there was one book that I never got to, but overall, I think I did fairly well for my first readathon. I can’t wait for next year to come already! I’m excited and I’m ready to set new goals for myself!

Okay, Chapterlings! That was my May Wrap-Up and my Asian Readathon books! This has been quite the month and I learned so much about myself through my reading! I also hope this month has brought all of you magical reading experiences and even some moments that made you pause and say “Huh, I never knew that about me!”
